When my even can’t even…Jesus

Exodus 14 13

“Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord.” ~ Exodus 14:13

My teenage son has autism, there are SO MANY things in his life and the parenting of him that are massive God-sized problems that I can’t fix, change, or touch without His help.

Often, there’s nothing I can do in my power to rescue my son or ease his suffering other than to love him through it, but I know the One who can, and I know how to cry out to Him. And YES, I have seen the Lord step in and touch my son and bring him, rest, relief, deliverance, and even healing from issues that used to afflict him.

In life, we will all find ourselves in one or many Red Sea moments with no way out but God. An incredible testing of our faith.

Sometimes, doing nothing but standing still and seeing the salvation of the Lord is the only thing we can ‘do’ and is exactly where He wants us – the place where He can be glorified, where our hearts pound in the waiting, but when the way is opened for us, we will testify and praise Him, “Only You, God,” humbled, amazed, and testifying that God and God alone did this great thing.

“‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.” ~ Zechariah 4:6
