OCD and Repetitive Behaviors
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

PHILIPPIANS 4:8

“Father,

I pray for my blessing (child’s name) who struggles with the torment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). I ask You to fill his/her mind with Your peace and truth. Grace him/her with the ability to think upon whatever is pure, lovely, commendable, excellent, and worthy of praise [Philippians 4:8].

Free him/her from the cruel taskmaster called OCD, for Your name is Deliverer. Cause every compulsive, tormenting behavior to cease. Every OCD storm to, “Peace be still” [Mark 4:39]. O God, I ask that his/her mind and body be satisfied and at peace with saying or completing all things in a balanced manner and without torment.

Lord, You came to proclaim liberty to the captives [Luke 4:18] and OCD is a horrible form of captivity. In Your great mercy, manifest liberty over (child’s name) right now. I believe Your Word and walk by faith and not by sight [2 Corinthians 5:7].

I praise You for liberating my child and for victory. You always do good to us [Acts 10:38] in Jesus’ name, amen.”

Prayer of authority in Jesus’ name:

“(Child’s name), I speak to your body and lay an ax to the roots of OCD, compulsive behaviors, and fixations. I command any tormenting and afflicting spirits to go now and never return. Because OCD does not bear good fruit, it is cut down and thrown into the fire [Luke 3:9], destroyed, never to return to you again in Jesus’ name, amen.”
