The Church Needs to GO INTO ALL THE WORLD and “Social Distance” from its Pews

Yes, I am stretching the use of the term “social distancing” to make a point, but these things have been burning in me from the Holy Spirit and heart of God. I may or may not have turned the term into a verb as well.

“But His word was in my heart like a burning fire
Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back,
And I could not,” Jeremiah 20:9.

God’s people need to “social distance” from their beloved church buildings and be pew warmers no more. No, this doesn’t translate to abandon your church buildings and families altogether BUT that shepherds urgently, as in yesterday already, need to disciple their flocks and use many of their service times to get out of these mere man-made buildings and do just as Jesus did.

Go!

Almighty God is clearly shaking His church awake using this pandemic.

A building is NOT the church. His people are. Jesus most often went out and sought, even just the one (e.g. the disciples, Zacchaeus, the Samaritan woman), and that has always been our calling as well.

He went and healed the sick and loved people into His kingdom with His truth, even the “hard sayings” that offended and pointed out the need to change and repent from sin. We are called do to just as Jesus did and this looks like getting out of buildings and seeking lost sheep. The church has had it wrong for too long. So very wrong.

Congregating, as hidden away social clubs, suckling on milk instead of the meat of the Word, sitting stagnant and without effect for Jesus, instead of taking the kingdom to the world, with evidence and confirmation of the Word with signs and wonders, healing the sick, raising the dead, casting out demons.

After this shut in with God, I can no longer stomach weak, watered down churches. I CANNOT bear it even one bit for His namesake and Word.

Matthew 9:35, “Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.”

Yes, He taught in synagogues but that was a just a part of it and not the greater part.

Luke 9:2, “He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.”

Lord, mightily convict every shepherd of not doing likewise.

Matthew 10:7-8, “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”

We are not called to warm pews but to warm hearts with the Word and His love for Jesus that they confess Christ and receive Him.

It’s time to GO, God’s people, in the manner He tells you to. It will look different for each of us what He wants us to focus on as our end time ministry, but it’s time to repent, each have our own personal revivals, and do the will of the Father, for His glory, to show the world His love, for the setting free of the captives.

“Going” signifies an active taking the kingdom of God to all peoples.

This CAN include writing online and ministering through online media in these times, but it also means to literally go and seek. The main heart of God in this word from the Lord in this post is that we take an ACTIVE role as Jesus did to seek out the lost, hurting, of course, even those who are already saved but need healing, deliverance, etc.

His kingdom

We are not competing with each other. We are one. Building upon each other’s assignments from God to build HIS Kingdom. Lord, bring You will to pass for the church as one, as Jesus prayed 2000 years ago.

I pray this word from the Lord blesses you. Let’s continue to cry out to God for a great awakening and for His church to go out in showing the glory of God far great even than the book of Acts.
