“Our house is peaceful now”

I asked the Lord how to explain my son’s progressive (and still ongoing) healing from autism spectrum disorder, and He gave me the word: AWAKENINGS!

Of course this was the PERFECT yet simple word I couldn’t come up with on my own without His help. Praise You, Holy Spirit, and Best Teacher Ever!

Around the time I began writing my prayer book, the Lord gave me a word about when healing is progressive it’s because it’s a battle against the enemy and powers of darkness, not any resistance on God’s part. That we are simply possessing or taking by faith force what is already ours, but that there’s resistance from the kingdom of darkness.

We must fight the good fight of faith to POSSESS what Jesus ALREADY did for our children: By His stripes, they WERE healed – 1 Peter 2:24. For ALL God’s promises are yes and amen!

From 2018 to present, my son has had many awakenings FROM the symptoms of autism spectrum disorder. Glory to the Lamb of God alone!

One thing I have loved and am currently loving is hearing my son in his own words absolutely positively recognize the difference between his current self and his former self because of these awakenings, these unveilings by the power of Jesus’ stripes and Name that are revealing his real, true, intended-by-God self more and more.

Here are some of his words:

  • Just yesterday he said on his own never hearing me refer to our home this way prior, “Our house is peaceful now. Isn’t it great? Isn’t it much better now?”
  • “I used to be like a monster. I’m much better now.”
  • “I’m not as sick as I used to be.” (Acknowledging that he also understands that his healing is not yet complete).
  • “I used to be like I was crazy.”

These were his own words. No one has ever called him a monster or crazy. This came from his perspective and understanding from the awakenings he’s had and that it’s become perfectly clear to him that one who is healthy does not behave aggressively, head ram people, repeat oneself over and over again until near insanity, fear almost everything including with paranoia, have tics/body movements against one’s will, etc. etc. etc.

Jesus doesn’t want anyone’s identity to be equated with a sickness, including with autism spectrum disorder. He doesn’t use terms like “normal” and “typical,” to describe people, so neither will I.

Honestly, I believe many terms used to label and categorize the sick today are a trap of the enemy – him inspiring people to use words to confuse, offend, and deceive people into normalizing what Jesus came to heal and deliver them from.

But Jesus does say things such as:

Making people whole and healing (restoring) them to health…

“So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel,” (Matthew 15:31).

“And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was RESTORED as whole as the other,” (Mark 3:5).

For healing is a restoration! And salvation is a resurrection!

“They brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them,” (Mark 4:24).

“And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick,” (Matthew 14:14).

When I began writing my prayer book, my son was NOWHERE near healed. The Word tells us to walk by faith and not by sight. To believe BEFORE we see. So by His Word alone, believing before seeing, I started my prayer book over two years ago now and have indeed seen and am seeing my son’s health line up with His Word from head to toe.

Praise You, my God and King, my Good Father who is NOT a man that He should lie! And I will keep on with You and Your Word, Lord, until my son’s health is TOTALLY restored and made whole.
