This is an incredible testimony by the McDermott family of two sons healed and delivered from autism spectrum disorder.
For God is not the author of disorder but of peace – 1 Corinthians 14:33.

00:00:10 pretty much since tim had been born had
00:00:11 lived
00:00:12 not a normal life he didn’t sleep
00:00:14 properly for about five
00:00:16 six years
00:00:19 he would scream and scream as though he
00:00:21 was in pain but
00:00:22 the doctors couldn’t find anything wrong
00:00:24 with him and i was
00:00:25 very very tired i’d come to the point
00:00:27 where i thought
00:00:28 i would go mad or drop
00:00:32 we couldn’t leave him we couldn’t go
00:00:34 anywhere we couldn’t
00:00:36 be apart from him so for many many years
00:00:39 that’s
00:00:39 the way that we live no one understands
00:00:42 you
00:00:43 from the outside no one had any idea
00:00:45 about the kind of life that we were
00:00:46 living
00:00:47 [Music]
00:00:50 when we had james many people have said
00:00:52 to us you’ll surely not get another
00:00:54 child who doesn’t sleep
00:00:55 who sleeps as badly as timmy did then we
00:00:58 had a speech and language therapist come
00:01:00 in to assist
00:01:01 timothy and they were watching james who
00:01:03 was playing with his trains he
00:01:05 loved trains he’d turn them upside down
00:01:07 and spin the wheels for ages
00:01:10 anyway what they said to me was ah isn’t
00:01:12 it funny how autistic kids love trains
00:01:16 and i said autistic kids so she says
00:01:20 well it’s obvious isn’t it
00:01:23 and we suddenly realized that gosh we
00:01:26 were going to have two children that
00:01:27 got it and what were the chances of that
00:01:29 i had been asking god help me
00:01:31 for for years and i said
00:01:34 i love my boys so much and you’re
00:01:36 supposed to love them more than me
00:01:38 why have you done this to them
00:01:46 ladies and gentlemen please welcome to
00:01:48 the stage
00:01:49 timothy mcdermott joining us by a live
00:01:52 stream from england
00:01:52 brother christopher debra and james
00:01:55 mcdermott
00:01:56 hallelujah
00:01:59 so of course this is timothy right here
00:02:02 and then we have christopher
00:02:04 debra and james over in the uk literally
00:02:08 zooming in and uh
00:02:12 deborah and james were going to be here
00:02:14 they have bought a house here they’re
00:02:16 going to be coming to school
00:02:17 this year but because of the pandemic
00:02:20 they
00:02:20 have not been able to leave the uk and
00:02:23 so we’ve
00:02:24 zoomed them in but i tell you what
00:02:27 this family and this healing what god
00:02:30 has done
00:02:31 is one of the most encouraging
00:02:33 testimonies
00:02:34 i have ever seen it is just absolutely
00:02:37 awesome
00:02:38 so let me say this real quickly before i
00:02:41 let them start speaking that when you
00:02:42 watch this video if you haven’t seen
00:02:45 their healing journey you need to watch
00:02:47 i have never
00:02:48 watched it that it hadn’t just brought
00:02:51 me to tears and one of the things is
00:02:53 debra the way that they interviewed her
00:02:56 she just expressed the hopelessness
00:03:01 not only of james and timothy but of the
00:03:04 whole
00:03:04 family and i mean you can feel
00:03:08 the uh hopelessness that they were in
00:03:10 and then when you see the healing
00:03:13 and and where they are now i mean it
00:03:15 just makes you want to shout
00:03:18 and praise god so if you haven’t seen
00:03:20 this video you need to definitely
00:03:22 watch it but i don’t know where to begin
00:03:25 here this is a
00:03:27 long story but let me kick it over here
00:03:29 either to christopher or deborah and let
00:03:32 you start introducing what happened here
00:03:36 hi well i’ll start um
00:03:39 well both my boys were diagnosed with
00:03:42 autism
00:03:43 tim is seven years older than james and
00:03:47 um
00:03:47 so we knew there was issues with tim for
00:03:50 a long time
00:03:52 but we didn’t expect there to be
00:03:53 anything wrong with james he didn’t seem
00:03:55 there didn’t seem to be anything wrong
00:03:57 with him but when tim was about
00:03:59 nine and james was two then james was
00:04:02 also diagnosed with autism that meant we
00:04:04 had two boys with
00:04:06 autism tim actually was diagnosed with
00:04:08 asperger’s but then he also had this
00:04:11 executive syndrome
00:04:12 learning difficulties all sorts of other
00:04:15 what they called comorbid conditions
00:04:18 james was further down the autistic
00:04:21 spectrum he was non-verbal and he was
00:04:23 very much in his own world
00:04:25 once again we had a lot of issues with
00:04:27 eating and sleeping with james
00:04:29 a lot of behavioral issues with james
00:04:32 um and uh tim was was a really sad
00:04:36 and lonely boy very isolated was never
00:04:39 able to go to school never know that now
00:04:43 he went through the uk school and then
00:04:45 he graduated and came here and went here
00:04:47 for what two or three years
00:04:49 three years now he’s he’s one of the
00:04:51 stars in all of our musicals
00:04:53 he plays god
00:04:56 he’s awesome i mean not many people go
00:05:00 from being autistic to playing god
00:05:02 that’s pretty awesome but anyway he was
00:05:05 one of the most
00:05:06 popular students we had everybody loved
00:05:09 timothy and to hear this report deborah
00:05:12 about
00:05:13 how you know i guess and i don’t want to
00:05:16 put words in your mouth you correct me
00:05:17 if i’m wrong but you were
00:05:19 they weren’t able to just attend school
00:05:21 naturally
00:05:22 you were basically home with them
00:05:25 24 7. christopher was having to go out
00:05:28 and make a living but
00:05:30 the burden of this fell on deborah i
00:05:32 mean it was just
00:05:33 hopeless it was and i i came to a point
00:05:37 of
00:05:38 absolute despair tim thinks back and uh
00:05:41 he calls it the seller yours
00:05:42 it was like being locked in a cellar you
00:05:45 know we couldn’t even open the curtains
00:05:46 most of the time because james was so
00:05:48 sensitive to
00:05:49 the light that we were in darkness and
00:05:52 we had years and years of this and uh
00:05:56 and then i found out about healing i
00:05:59 actually found out
00:06:01 that um our children were entitled to be
00:06:04 healed that jesus had paid the price on
00:06:05 the cross
00:06:06 and once i discovered that it was
00:06:09 through kenneth copeland ministries and
00:06:11 i read in their magazine
00:06:13 and heard about another boy who had been
00:06:15 healed of autism
00:06:16 once i understood that i became enraged
00:06:20 with autism i decided absolutely not
00:06:23 thus far
00:06:24 no further if jesus has paid the price
00:06:26 for my
00:06:27 children to be saved out of this
00:06:30 hell this hopeless place there is no way
00:06:34 that it’s sticking around if autism is a
00:06:36 defeated foe it’s history in this
00:06:38 household
00:06:38 and that’s when i heard from the lord
00:06:41 that he would heal my boys
00:06:44 and i remember deborah that one of the
00:06:46 workers
00:06:47 health workers said you just have to
00:06:49 make peace
00:06:50 with this and man that set you off
00:06:54 yeah they said to make friends i was in
00:06:56 denial apparently
00:06:58 and i must make friends with the
00:07:00 diagnosis but i had
00:07:02 already decided to wage war with the
00:07:04 diagnosis it was too late to tell me to
00:07:06 make friends
00:07:07 with the very thing that was ruining my
00:07:09 children’s lives and destinies
00:07:11 there was no way now christopher if i’m
00:07:14 not mistaken when you
00:07:16 uh read deborah’s book and she was
00:07:18 expressing all of these things you
00:07:20 didn’t even realize sometimes how
00:07:23 oppressive it was to deborah because you
00:07:25 were out making a living you weren’t
00:07:27 dealing with it the same as
00:07:28 deborah was yeah my my role really
00:07:32 um through all of that still is i
00:07:35 suppose really was to
00:07:36 to to provide the financial stability
00:07:38 that we needed because we were
00:07:40 we were in so much crisis and we were we
00:07:42 were sort of lurching from one thing to
00:07:44 another
00:07:44 um then when deb wrote the book and it
00:07:47 was it fell to me to try and
00:07:49 uh work out how to put it onto kindle
00:07:52 and how to get it onto the internet and
00:07:53 do all of that
00:07:54 so i had to read all the way through it
00:07:56 and check it and do everything and as i
00:07:58 was reading it there was
00:08:00 huge passages in there that i just i
00:08:02 either did know and had forgotten
00:08:04 and didn’t really want to remember or i
00:08:06 just i just wasn’t aware of it
00:08:08 right at the very start it was really
00:08:10 reading demos but was a really profound
00:08:12 experience for me because it in a sense
00:08:14 it brought
00:08:16 so much more of the story even though i
00:08:18 was there uh to life than i’d
00:08:20 experienced when i was when i was kind
00:08:22 of there but not there because i was
00:08:23 working so much
00:08:25 man this was traumatic for the whole
00:08:27 family so
00:08:28 we’re going to get to timothy here in a
00:08:30 minute james you are probably too young
00:08:32 to remember much of this
00:08:33 i guess you’re probably learning this
00:08:36 yes i
00:08:37 am i i don’t remember anything about
00:08:40 being autistic
00:08:40 i just have the word of my parents to go
00:08:43 on
00:08:44 so how many years ago was it that the
00:08:47 healing began it wasn’t just
00:08:48 all at once but when was it that you
00:08:51 came in
00:08:52 and i prayed with you that was 11
00:08:55 11 years yeah yeah 11 years ago when i
00:08:58 was five
00:08:59 yeah man it was a long time ago so you
00:09:02 don’t even remember being
00:09:04 autistic i don’t know what a blessing
00:09:08 what a blessing so timothy
00:09:11 uh give us your perspective you were
00:09:14 howell
00:09:14 12 or yeah um oh no i was
00:09:18 13 yeah was i gosh um
00:09:22 uh yeah it was i was
00:09:27 i was blessed enough to not be
00:09:29 completely aware of of how bad i had it
00:09:32 until the healing process had already
00:09:34 began
00:09:35 it was only when i was entering my teens
00:09:37 that i kind of started realizing
00:09:40 how how vast the differences between me
00:09:43 and
00:09:44 the rest of the world were and
00:09:47 i was already in the process of being
00:09:49 healed so it was like hey
00:09:50 you know um but i i remember
00:09:56 one one of the the main
00:09:59 one of the main feelings that i felt
00:10:01 over and over and over again throughout
00:10:02 my childhood
00:10:03 was being
00:10:08 what’s the word misunderstood
00:10:12 so you know when you have autism when
00:10:15 you have aspergers when you have those
00:10:16 those mental difficulties you want
00:10:18 everything else that everyone else in
00:10:19 the world wants
00:10:20 you know you want friends you want
00:10:22 family you want uh love and acceptance
00:10:24 you want people to find you funny you
00:10:26 you know
00:10:26 like normal human things and
00:10:30 i remember trying so hard
00:10:33 in so many different cases and just
00:10:35 being
00:10:37 completely misunderstood every single
00:10:39 time um
00:10:40 i i couldn’t for example i i couldn’t
00:10:43 understand
00:10:44 sarcasm or irony or anything that wasn’t
00:10:49 even like um i guess you’d call it like
00:10:52 creative language
00:10:54 or metaphors or anything like that so i
00:10:56 remember
00:10:57 at one point when i when they tried to
00:11:00 send me to a school
00:11:01 for a little while um the teacher i had
00:11:03 like a piece of paper that had messed up
00:11:04 whatever and
00:11:05 she said i’ll just throw it out my first
00:11:07 thought was
00:11:09 throw it out where you know
00:11:12 it’s the whole thinking process right is
00:11:15 totally different
00:11:16 right and you know it’s very easy for
00:11:18 people on the outside to be like oh
00:11:19 you know keep plumbing kids but for me
00:11:22 it was it was heartfelt and it was
00:11:23 sincere like tell me where to throw it
00:11:25 out
00:11:26 because i i like it felt like he was
00:11:28 trapped inside of
00:11:30 the way you think versus the way the
00:11:32 rest of the world is it’s hard to
00:11:34 connect and you see these people who are
00:11:36 just able to
00:11:37 instinctively know how to act around
00:11:39 people how these things are working
00:11:42 and you’re on the outside of that you
00:11:44 you have to
00:11:45 there is no way of learning it
00:11:47 instinctively it has to be an active and
00:11:48 intentional thing
00:11:50 every time and i wasn’t capable of that
00:11:52 i can’t even imagine what that would
00:11:54 have been like
00:11:55 deborah would you share a little bit
00:11:57 about like you had kenneth copeland had
00:12:00 really planned i mean
00:12:01 it was god but the lord used kenneth
00:12:03 copeland
00:12:04 to instill hope and then you connected
00:12:08 with our ministry you brought your boys
00:12:10 and i just prayed probably a 30-second
00:12:14 prayer because
00:12:15 there was a long line i remember where
00:12:17 we were and this was at one of our
00:12:20 grace and faith conferences in the uk
00:12:23 there was a long
00:12:24 line and i had to get back and i said
00:12:26 sorry i’ve got to leave
00:12:28 and i think you were the next ones in
00:12:30 line and paul flanagan the director of
00:12:32 our school
00:12:34 says could you just pray for one more
00:12:37 and i’m yeah i prayed a 30-second prayer
00:12:39 but give
00:12:40 give people a little understanding it
00:12:44 wasn’t
00:12:44 my great faith is what i’m trying to get
00:12:46 at it was debra
00:12:48 and christopher they were believing and
00:12:51 all i was
00:12:52 was just the point of contact it wasn’t
00:12:54 my great faith on this thing
00:12:58 well yes we had um we had seen hannah
00:13:00 territories testimony a few weeks before
00:13:03 that
00:13:04 and christopher had gone and to the um
00:13:06 internet and he’d seen that you were due
00:13:08 to come
00:13:09 to england and so we immediately
00:13:11 arranged to bring our boys
00:13:14 and come to the conference but that was
00:13:15 a that’s a big thing for us to do that
00:13:17 wasn’t just like let’s pack let’s
00:13:19 pack everybody in the car and drive off
00:13:20 that was a huge
00:13:22 event for us the boys hadn’t actually
00:13:25 been outside the front door for about
00:13:27 nine months at that stage um it was
00:13:31 locked down in the mcdermott household
00:13:33 but that was just everyday life
00:13:35 and so it was huge it was a huge
00:13:38 preparation
00:13:39 we had to take our own pots and pans if
00:13:41 we wanted to
00:13:42 cook any food that james would actually
00:13:44 eat because he
00:13:46 he wouldn’t drink water that didn’t
00:13:47 taste the same or eat food that was
00:13:49 cooked in something else he would only
00:13:50 eat out of the same bowl i mean
00:13:53 we would only sleep on the same bedding
00:13:54 i mean we just picked up
00:13:56 the house and took it with us and um
00:13:59 and just getting them you know used to
00:14:02 the fact that we’re going to go
00:14:03 and there was the trauma and the dramas
00:14:05 that we had especially with james at the
00:14:07 time
00:14:08 um but we were determined because i had
00:14:10 been praying lord
00:14:12 um help me tim was improving slowly but
00:14:15 james had had a massive regression about
00:14:18 nine months before that and and i was
00:14:21 just not
00:14:22 seeing any improvements and i kept just
00:14:24 standing in faith saying
00:14:26 he’s healed and we’re going to just keep
00:14:28 on keeping on because this is a defeated
00:14:30 fur and
00:14:31 but nothing was happening and i kept
00:14:33 praying lord send me someone to
00:14:36 i can pray with someone to pray with me
00:14:38 who really believes
00:14:40 because i had tried to find other
00:14:42 ministers and other churches
00:14:44 but i hadn’t found anybody who
00:14:48 really believed up until then all i’d
00:14:50 had was the response of people looking
00:14:52 alarmed sympathetic
00:14:56 upset and basically trying to reassure
00:14:59 me that you know god sends special
00:15:01 children to special people and that’s
00:15:03 not what i was looking for
00:15:06 and so um so we we
00:15:09 when we found out about hannah’s healing
00:15:12 and i
00:15:12 saw this man is not intimidated by the
00:15:15 story that he was told about hannah
00:15:18 i thought if he’s not intimidated by
00:15:20 that autism’s nothing
00:15:21 this is a man who genuinely believes so
00:15:24 we were going to come here
00:15:26 no matter what and we made it but we
00:15:28 were about
00:15:30 four or five people behind in the line
00:15:33 when you turned around and said right
00:15:34 tea time’s over and you were heading
00:15:36 back to preach
00:15:37 and we’d only really got a very short
00:15:39 window of opportunity hadn’t we because
00:15:41 um
00:15:42 because of the boys and stuff so it was
00:15:43 like it’s got to happen it’s now or
00:15:45 never now or never
00:15:46 yeah james was starting to play up when
00:15:49 we knew that we were going to have to
00:15:50 get him away very quickly after that
00:15:53 so i just prayed a real simple prayer
00:15:55 but did it all
00:15:56 happen instantaneously or what was the
00:15:59 process
00:16:00 well you know what you prayed and when
00:16:02 you finished praying
00:16:03 you looked at it’s very profound
00:16:08 you are now the parents of normal
00:16:10 healthy children
00:16:11 and um that was huge for me and um
00:16:16 i i took it right there from that moment
00:16:18 on
00:16:19 for us for me that is it that’s when i
00:16:22 received
00:16:23 my boys complete healing from that
00:16:25 moment on as far as i was concerned
00:16:27 there were no more healthy children and
00:16:29 we slunk out the side
00:16:30 door because james was starting to to
00:16:33 get
00:16:34 restless and that was the end of the
00:16:35 conference for us
00:16:37 but that was when we went home and james
00:16:41 immediately for the first time in
00:16:43 over a year called on the little girl
00:16:45 across the road and asked her to come
00:16:46 and play
00:16:48 he played with her all afternoon in the
00:16:50 garden in the pedaling pool on the slide
00:16:52 and then that night he had the first
00:16:55 full
00:16:55 night’s sleep he’d had in the five years
00:16:58 of his whole life
00:16:59 praise i mean yeah but
00:17:02 as you said it didn’t all after that
00:17:04 happened instantly
00:17:06 we stood in faith for another two years
00:17:09 before tim was
00:17:11 um pronounced a hundred percent
00:17:13 neurotypical
00:17:15 and uh and three years all together from
00:17:18 there
00:17:19 for james when they said there’s no sign
00:17:21 of autism and they took the diagnosis
00:17:23 away
00:17:24 so it was a journey of
00:17:28 breakthroughs and then gradual healing
00:17:30 and then breakthroughs and then gradual
00:17:31 healing
00:17:32 but as far as i was concerned when you
00:17:34 looked at christopher and i
00:17:36 and said you are the parents of normal
00:17:37 healthy children from that moment on
00:17:40 my children were healed which meant that
00:17:42 every characteristic of autism that was
00:17:44 still lingering
00:17:46 was on its way out like a flower that’s
00:17:48 been cut it’s
00:17:49 going to die it’s going to go because it
00:17:51 cannot stay on healed children
00:17:52 amen so that’s when we just saw changes
00:17:57 and it just they it’s like they just
00:17:58 grew out of it yeah one of one of the
00:18:00 breakthroughs was was that the time that
00:18:02 we all went to the movies together for
00:18:04 the very very first time
00:18:05 it was one of those things that
00:18:07 everybody else did and everybody else
00:18:08 does
00:18:09 and we’ve never done it we’ve never been
00:18:11 able to the lights the noise the sound
00:18:13 and that
00:18:14 that day when we went to the movies was
00:18:16 just
00:18:17 it was a dream come true because i had
00:18:19 um
00:18:20 been allowing myself to think about that
00:18:23 the lord at one point said to me
00:18:24 dare to dream and so i started dreaming
00:18:28 about going to the cinema about going
00:18:30 out to dinner
00:18:31 about doing things with the family out
00:18:33 and about that normal people do
00:18:35 and um that was huge i mean christopher
00:18:39 was tearful he was so overwhelmed at
00:18:43 just being able to sit in a cinema with
00:18:44 his wife and two sons
00:18:47 and eat popcorn and enjoy the movie like
00:18:49 a normal family it was just
00:18:51 wonderful for those that haven’t seen
00:18:53 the video deborah said that that was one
00:18:55 of the dreams that she had and then at
00:18:57 the end of our video
00:18:59 it shows them going to the movie and i
00:19:01 tell you what it brings me to tears
00:19:03 every time just to think
00:19:05 just something that simple that you had
00:19:08 been stout on
00:19:09 for years and christopher when you got
00:19:12 the
00:19:13 nhs the national health service
00:19:16 diagnosis that they were totally normal
00:19:20 and no traces
00:19:21 that’s when you really got touched
00:19:24 through this
00:19:26 absolutely that that was i i i
00:19:29 obviously i had experienced it and i’d
00:19:30 seen it happen but
00:19:32 for me to be able to um
00:19:35 have that dare say official document
00:19:39 so we got a document that said uh
00:19:42 they’ve got autism and then we got a
00:19:43 document that said they haven’t that was
00:19:45 really
00:19:46 uh really important for me personally
00:19:48 for us to be able to
00:19:49 to show that and to be able to say you
00:19:51 know we’re not just
00:19:53 wishful thinking here we’re not just
00:19:54 kind of making stuff up or
00:19:56 hoping for things we’ve got the actual
00:19:58 uh diagnosis and in the uk
00:20:00 to get something like that from the nhs
00:20:02 is a it’s a big deal
00:20:04 it’s it’s not something that happens
00:20:05 very often so i was
00:20:07 it was at that point when we got that uh
00:20:10 document that i
00:20:10 i then said because i think we’d already
00:20:13 spoken to stephen bransford
00:20:15 a year before and it was at that point
00:20:17 we said right now we can tell the story
00:20:19 now
00:20:19 we can do we can really sort of go with
00:20:21 it because we’ve got we’ve kind of got
00:20:23 the beginning the middle and the end
00:20:25 all in one debra i would like you to
00:20:28 just plug your book a little bit i’ve
00:20:30 read her book and i tell you what this
00:20:32 book
00:20:32 is powerful and uh there’s nobody
00:20:36 else i know that has articulated all
00:20:38 these things about
00:20:40 autism and like you just mentioned that
00:20:42 james had regressed a little bit in the
00:20:44 book you explained exactly why that
00:20:47 happened because of a well-meaning
00:20:49 person just speaking something negative
00:20:51 it is a powerful book share with them a
00:20:54 little about that
00:20:56 um well yeah i
00:21:01 about the bit about his regression and
00:21:03 how it happened well i’m just talking
00:21:05 about the book encourage the people why
00:21:07 this
00:21:07 book would be a blessing yeah it’s
00:21:09 written in a unique style
00:21:11 it’s like deborah talking to her diary
00:21:14 that’s what it is it’s it’s dear mary so
00:21:17 that i found that that was the
00:21:19 the only way that i could actually
00:21:21 verbalize and get it out
00:21:23 is to imagine that i was telling
00:21:25 somebody my story somebody who was not
00:21:28 going to be critical
00:21:29 not who who actually loved us and cared
00:21:31 for us and i was going to just open my
00:21:33 heart and tell my story
00:21:34 as to a beloved friend and so that’s how
00:21:38 i wrote the book
00:21:39 and um i’ll tell you this andrew i’ve
00:21:42 had a lot of feedback from
00:21:43 parents of children with all sorts of
00:21:45 different diagnosis
00:21:47 and they’ve said it’s been incredibly
00:21:49 helpful so i would encourage people
00:21:51 anything that the doctors say is
00:21:53 incurable
00:21:54 read the book and you’ll see that
00:21:57 nothing’s incurable because this will
00:21:59 help parents of children
00:22:01 with with other issues it’s not just
00:22:05 for people with children with autism but
00:22:08 i have had a lot of feedback from a lot
00:22:10 of people saying how this has encouraged
00:22:12 them how it’s given them hope
00:22:14 and one of the biggest things is with
00:22:17 these
00:22:18 incurable disease chromosomal disorders
00:22:20 autism whatever it is
00:22:22 even things like accidents where people
00:22:25 children have been
00:22:26 brain damaged or lack of oxygen where
00:22:28 they were okay but now they’re not
00:22:30 um what what i
00:22:34 feel has come through in my book was
00:22:36 that
00:22:37 it’s not intimidating i
00:22:40 i’ve it was so easy for me once the lord
00:22:43 had said i will heal your sons
00:22:44 i was not intimidated by autism and any
00:22:48 of the symptoms
00:22:49 once i found out that it had been
00:22:51 defeated at the cross
00:22:53 now um tim had other issues that were
00:22:56 not related to autism that were related
00:22:58 to form of brain damage that he got in
00:22:59 the womb when we had a car accident
00:23:01 james was dropped on his face as the
00:23:03 baby of
00:23:05 just a few weeks old onto a tiled floor
00:23:08 so they weren’t sure if the autism was
00:23:10 part of the brain damage or the brain
00:23:12 damage was part of the autism they just
00:23:13 didn’t
00:23:14 know but it his brain wasn’t okay so
00:23:17 whatever the problem is
00:23:18 whatever the diagnosis is the thing is
00:23:22 is once you realize that it is a piece
00:23:25 of cake for jesus
00:23:26 that it’s not a baby you can diminish
00:23:29 and demean these symptoms they can stop
00:23:31 intimidating you stop making you
00:23:32 frightened stop making you project
00:23:34 forward and think what’s going to happen
00:23:37 if something happens to me who’s going
00:23:38 to look after this child what
00:23:40 their future going to look like but you
00:23:42 can actually diminish say this has got
00:23:44 no
00:23:45 right to stay and their future is bright
00:23:47 their future
00:23:48 is going to be what god has ordained
00:23:50 them to be he has a future for
00:23:52 them and the enemy hasn’t got the power
00:23:54 to derail that
00:23:56 if we stand up and say thus far no
00:23:58 further you have no right and you will
00:24:00 not
00:24:01 mess with my children and you know one
00:24:03 of the titles i was thinking about for
00:24:05 my book was love enraged
00:24:07 and what i would like to encourage
00:24:09 people and i think this is something
00:24:11 that
00:24:11 has come through in my book as well is
00:24:13 that when we
00:24:14 love our children passionately and we
00:24:16 realize that the enemy has been
00:24:18 bullying them and that all the suffering
00:24:21 is illegitimate and has no right
00:24:23 then you can dare to become enraged and
00:24:26 that is what happened to me i became
00:24:28 enraged and that was when i said
00:24:32 okay thus far no further this is
00:24:35 not going to stay on my children this is
00:24:37 not going to be part of their identity
00:24:39 my children are going to be who god
00:24:41 created them to be
00:24:43 they are free and they’re going to be
00:24:45 live out the life
00:24:46 god has designed for them to live and
00:24:48 you know the lord did say to me that he
00:24:50 would restore the
00:24:52 years that tim had lost and that james
00:24:55 had lost
00:24:56 that the enemy had stolen god is a
00:24:58 restorer
00:25:00 and that is what’s happening now all
00:25:02 these years
00:25:03 later it’s been eight years since
00:25:05 stephen came and filmed that testimony
00:25:07 and during that eight years i mean tim
00:25:10 has just blossomed
00:25:12 he’s just he’s a blessing
00:25:15 yeah sir uh so you know there’s a
00:25:18 scripture
00:25:19 jesus said uh that since the days of
00:25:21 john the baptist the kingdom of
00:25:23 heaven is preached and it suffers
00:25:25 violence and the violent take it by
00:25:27 force
00:25:28 i struggled with that for years but i
00:25:30 believe that now what it means is that
00:25:32 you’ve got to get this
00:25:34 violence to where you are not going to
00:25:37 allow the devil to steal from you what
00:25:40 god has provided
00:25:41 and you are exhibiting that all of you
00:25:44 and
00:25:45 the same thing was said by nikki nikki
00:25:47 threw her
00:25:48 arm across my chest knocked me out of
00:25:50 the way and got
00:25:51 up and uh julianne last night was
00:25:55 talking about she drew
00:25:56 a line in the sand and you know one of
00:25:58 the reasons people are sick is because
00:26:00 they will
00:26:01 tolerate it you got to get sick and
00:26:03 tired of being sick and tired
00:26:06 and one of the things that i love about
00:26:08 the mcdermott testimony
00:26:10 is that it wasn’t instant i it would
00:26:12 have been wonderful if it was but
00:26:14 you are such an encouragement to people
00:26:18 who don’t just instantly see something
00:26:20 happen but
00:26:21 you once you had that word that you are
00:26:24 the parents of two
00:26:25 normal healthy children you had a word
00:26:28 from god and from then on the devil
00:26:30 it was just a matter of time until he
00:26:32 was it was just a matter of time
00:26:35 it was never going to stay after that
00:26:37 that was
00:26:38 it and you know i remember tim and i
00:26:41 sitting watching nikki’s testimony
00:26:44 and tim was just so excited i remember
00:26:47 he jumped up and he said
00:26:49 wow if god can heal all these things and
00:26:52 he had a chip on his tooth
00:26:54 tim you tell the story of the chip on
00:26:55 your tooth yeah so um it was
00:26:57 the result of eating toffee a little bit
00:26:59 too enthusiastically
00:27:00 [Laughter]
00:27:02 and uh and like i felt you know it
00:27:05 wasn’t
00:27:05 impacting my life but i could feel it i
00:27:07 was like
00:27:09 i’ve got a chipped tooth oh my gosh um
00:27:12 and i was when i was how old like
00:27:15 you were about 12 12 ish yeah
00:27:19 no no you were about 14 sorry
00:27:24 anyway but uh yeah so i
00:27:28 you know we were listening to these
00:27:29 healing testimonies and stuff and i was
00:27:30 really
00:27:31 i was still in the place of like you
00:27:34 know i don’t know
00:27:34 how far you know how far i can push this
00:27:37 i don’t know like
00:27:38 where the limits are if there are such
00:27:40 limits i don’t know
00:27:41 like you know with i i was i was
00:27:44 ignorant
00:27:45 um but within that ignorance i was very
00:27:47 enthusiastic
00:27:49 um and so i was like well okay well if
00:27:52 god can heal these people of these
00:27:54 debilitating
00:27:55 you know uh life-threatening diseases
00:27:59 he can heal a chipped tooth and so i
00:28:01 prayed over i commanded the tooth to be
00:28:03 healed
00:28:04 and then subsequently completely forgot
00:28:07 about it
00:28:08 a couple days later i’m eating i’m like
00:28:13 my tooth’s back wow
00:28:16 i haven’t heard that yeah boy that is
00:28:19 miraculous
00:28:22 and uh so how’s your tooth now it’s
00:28:24 great yeah
00:28:25 awesome man this is so
00:28:28 encouraging i know the people that are
00:28:30 watching are sitting here thinking can
00:28:32 this
00:28:32 really happen it’s happened
00:28:35 oh yeah you’re hearing these testimonies
00:28:38 and i remember
00:28:39 james and timothy i don’t remember i
00:28:41 didn’t visit with them but i remember
00:28:43 them when i prayed for them and
00:28:45 to see them now james was at my
00:28:48 conference last year grace and faith
00:28:50 and i mean he was just all praising god
00:28:53 and happy and to see what god has done
00:28:56 in this family
00:28:58 god will do that same thing for you
00:29:01 right now there’s he’s no respecter of
00:29:03 persons
00:29:05 never would you just do this if you just
00:29:07 quickly take that
00:29:08 faith that god placed in you for your
00:29:11 two boys
00:29:12 and just release them towards people
00:29:13 that are watching and encourage them
00:29:16 okay firstly whatever the diagnosis is i
00:29:19 just want everybody
00:29:21 to realize that jesus
00:29:24 is huge and great he has paid the price
00:29:29 and he has out of every diagnosis that
00:29:33 can be diagnosed
00:29:34 and with that in mind and i just want
00:29:37 the parents and the people who are
00:29:39 praying for for loved ones to not to
00:29:42 diminish and demean
00:29:43 in their mind the diagnosis no more fear
00:29:46 no more intimidation
00:29:48 so lord right now i just appreciate that
00:29:50 they cannot and will not stay
00:29:52 and in the name of jesus right now i
00:29:54 curse every disability
00:29:56 and i say be gone in jesus name i
00:29:58 declare
00:29:59 every child and every loved one
00:30:02 represented
00:30:03 here in the sound of my voice now and
00:30:05 anytime in the future
00:30:06 i declare healing complete healing
00:30:09 complete freedom i see chains
00:30:13 breaking chains breaking and i just
00:30:16 command
00:30:17 freedom in jesus name and i thank you
00:30:19 father god
00:30:20 that you are just pouring out your
00:30:23 healing power as people’s hearts are
00:30:25 opening up to dare
00:30:27 to believe what you have provided and i
00:30:30 thank you for it and you know i just
00:30:32 see now lights bursting like like like
00:30:35 um
00:30:36 fireworks going on and i believe that
00:30:39 every
00:30:39 healing will be another light in the
00:30:41 darkness another
00:30:42 another light for testimonies
00:30:46 after testimonies after testimonies and
00:30:48 that healings will just break out
00:30:50 all over the world as people realize
00:30:54 that they can be less and less
00:30:55 intimidated so father god thank you that
00:30:57 you are doing a mighty work
00:30:59 thank you that you have provided healing
00:31:02 that it is done and that we are set free
00:31:05 in jesus
