I’ve read and listened to many of God’s children being anxious about whether they prayed in the “correct prayer format” for healing and deliverance. I’ve seen similar comments of concerned parents wondering “if one doesn’t ‘pray right’ that maybe that’s the reason why their child still has symptoms and his or her healing is not yet seen in the natural.” These thoughts are attacks of the enemy against the mind. Take them captive and make them bow to Jesus Christ!

Fear not! Let’s just let the Word of God fill us with His peace and rest. In John 6:28-29, it is written “Then they said to Him [Jesus], ‘What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?’ Jesus answered and said to them, ‘This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent,’” (John 6:28-29). The “works” they were referring to was Jesus Christ’s performing miracles. Did Jesus say we have to pray perfectly or to simply believe in Him?

After reading and viewing hundreds of healing and deliverance testimonies, there was no single prayer format or method that “worked” – what each testimony had in common was that someone believed in Him, that there trust (faith) was in Him alone. We can’t put any faith or trust in what we do or don’t do. NONE! Healing is a free grace-based gift. Not a reward. Not anything ANYONE can earn or deserve.

The Word plainly states that healing and deliverance are included in the finished work of Jesus Christ (Isaiah 53″4-5; 1 Peter 2:24). Our part is to only believe. Keep our trust in Jesus and His report and off ourselves or whether we’ve prayed “correctly“.

There were testimonies I’ve heard where the person who prayed for healing simply said, “Thank You, Jesus!” and the person was completely healed.

There was a healing and deliverance from autism spectrum disorder where the pastor who prayed was in a hurry and simply prayed a prayer of faith that said, “I just released peace. I said I released the Shalom of Heaven into Hope right now in Jesus’ name… And I said go home and lay your hands on your daughter and release that now shalom. Shalom in the original language means the spirit that destroys chaos so she went home and she laid hands on Hope…and she just says I just release the Shalom of Heaven through you Hope,” and the child was healed. We know chaos means disorder. So he released the peace – the Shalom of God – that destroyed the disorder of the enemy, not of God, that had held her captive.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. It’s important for us to know what the Word says about healing and deliverance and how God alone defines all sickness (Hint: It’s not a blessing. It’s a work of the devil). Why? So, we are armed and protected with God’s truth that healing is God’s will for all and from every kind of sickness that the enemy can’t deceive us into settling for his attacks against our children’s health. That we may only believe in Him and see the healing He paid a high price for us to have!

Don’t become anxious about whether you prayed exactly right or covered all the symptoms perfectly, only believe on the Healer. The key is when we pray or command healing that we believe in Jesus Christ alone!

Ask the Lord for wisdom on how He’d have you pray for your child’s healing from autism spectrum disorder. The answer could be that He’ll use someone else’s faith in Jesus Christ, the Healer, to set your child free. Maybe someone will give you a word of knowledge from the Lord. Don’t limit God! Healing can be instantaneous or could be seen over time, either way we don’t “put our faith in length of time” or lower our expectations that healing will be gradual. We believe in Him alone, putting all our trust in Him and what He has already accomplished at the Cross: By His stripes, we were healed (1 Peter 2:24).

If this blessed you, like, comment, and share. God bless! ❤

LOVE this, So many people get tied up in knots about prayer. I did when I first started praying for people too.

It’s not our job to get stressed and try a formula. It’s our job, with child-like faith, to BELIEVE!

    Well done!

He Healed Them ALL

“Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner,” (John 5:19).

Jesus only did what He saw the Father do, so He healed every kind of sickness and every kind of disease, every kind of disability, even if they were born that way.
