“For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me,” (John 6:38).
The Word says Jesus only did only did the Father’s will. By the Word, we know that in keeping with the will of His Father alone that Jesus healed disabilities and special needs and put people back in their right minds. He never made anyone disabled nor told a parent that it was His will for their children to remain sick, disabled, or tormented by demons. No, He healed them all!
Let’s walk through some Word for truth that sets free and destroys the fake gospels inspired by the devil’s deceptions that are being embraced in “Christian” churches today. Lies being used by the powers of darkness to keep children/people bound.
Jesus Healed Disabilities
“Then He said to the man, ‘Stretch out your hand.’ And he stretched it out, and it was restored as whole as the other.”
— Matthew 12:13
Jesus didn’t hesitate. He didn’t question whether the man with a withered disabled hand deserved healing or if it was “God’s will or timing.” He simply healed him. No disability was too permanent for Jesus to restore.
“But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, ‘Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.’ And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.”
— Luke 13:12-13
This woman had been bent over for eighteen years, folded in two with a terrible disability. Jesus set her free and restored her completely by casting out a spirit of infirmity. Hunchback no more! Many sicknesses can be caused by demonic spirits oppressing one’s body and/or soul. Never God’s will!
Jesus Healed and Delivered People, Putting Them Back in Their Right Mind
“Then they also who had seen it told them by what means he who had been demon-possessed was healed… Then they went out to see what had happened and came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid.”
— Luke 8:36, 35
Jesus didn’t just heal physical sickness. He restored minds tormented by demons. The man who had been possessed by a legion of demons was completely transformed—peaceful, whole, and in his right mind. Today, healthcare professionals would probably diagnosis him as insane and lock him away in an institution. He’d probably spend his life in restraints and heavily medicated in a zombie like state. But glory to God, Jesus cast the demons out of him, healing and delivering him from what many today would call a severe mental disability.
“Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.”
— Matthew 4:24
Jesus healed everyone they brought to him with various diseases and torments. Jesus didn’t pick and choose medical conditions, labeling some as God’s will to heal and some as not God’s will to heal. No, He healed them ALL.
What has happened today is that many churches exalt cultural beliefs above the Word of God and a phony, fake, counterfeit, comfortable-comfort-zone cultural Jesus is preached, concerned more with offending people’s feelings instead of setting captives free from sickness and even literal demons.
Jesus Healed Those Born With Disabilities and Birth Defects
“Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth… He anointed the man’s eyes with clay and said to him, ‘Go, wash in the pool of Siloam.’ So he went and washed, and came back seeing.”
— John 9:1, 6-7
A man born blind. A condition that existed from birth. And yet, Jesus healed him. Remember, Jesus ONLY did His Father’s will. This man was born blind, yet it was STILL God’s will for Him to be healed because God defines all sickness as a work of the devil (Acts 10:38).
We must answer this question honestly? IF Adam and Even (mankind) never fell, would there be blindness, sickness, autism spectrum disorder, birth defects, special needs, etc. in the world? No, because these attacks against health entered through the “doorway” of the fall, through Adam and Eve choosing to bow their knee to the devil and his lies, therefore choosing to “surely die” or choose death as it says in Genesis.
Therefore, if today’s church were to line up all its teachings on disabilities, ASD, etc. with the Word of God, every word of them would agree with Jesus showing us the Father’s will. His will which hasn’t changed! An obedient Jesus demonstrating church would pray for people to be healed from these conditions.
Jesus never taught us to make any sickness, disease, disorder or disability a person’s entire identity. How far the church has strayed from showing the world the One and Only Jesus Christ!!!
“And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple… Then Peter said, ‘Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.’”
— Acts 3:2, 6
Not only did Jesus heal those born with disabilities, but even after His resurrection, His healing power continued through the apostles. A man born crippled was instantly made whole. Do we see Peter in a state of confusion on whether it was God’s will to heal someone born disabled (lame/crippled)? No, because he knew God’s will on the matter through being discipled by Jesus Christ Himself who taught Peter that He only did His Father’s will and healed them all.
“And in Lystra a certain man without strength in his feet was sitting, a cripple from his mother’s womb, who had never walked… Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice, ‘Stand up straight on your feet!’ And he leaped and walked.”
— Acts 14:8-10
Yet, another example of the early church healing someone BORN disabled in line with the will of God which hasn’t changed. Paul, not even one of the first direct disciples of Jesus Christ and His earthly ministry, wasn’t confused about God’s plain and clear will to heal them all, including those born with a disability/special needs.
It’s Still God’s Will Today
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
— Hebrews 13:8
God hasn’t changed. Jesus hasn’t changed. His will to heal hasn’t changed. More Word proof that Jesus only did the Father’s will…
“Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.”
— John 5:19
“He who has seen Me has seen the Father.”
— John 14:9
Jesus only did what He saw the Father do. He showed us the Father’s will—healing the sick, disabled, and mentally bound. Restoring the broken. Delivering the tormented.
So What Has Changed?
If Jesus revealed the Father’s will by healing them all, including those with disabilities, birth defects, and minds bound in a state of arrested development, then it’s still His will today.
What has changed? Not God. Not His will.
Man has created false doctrines, counterfeit gospels, and reasoning-based doctrines of unbelief. But Jesus is the One who showed us how to do church. He revealed the Father’s will. Follow Jesus, not man!
“…by whose stripes you were healed.”
— 1 Peter 2:24
Jesus bore it all—our sicknesses, our pain, our afflictions—on the Cross. Healing isn’t a side issue. It’s part of what He paid for.
Don’t settle for anything less than the full gospel. Jesus healed them all, and He still heals today.
Run from churches that teach God doesn’t heal today or that teach parents to embrace birth defects, special needs, and ASD. Why? They are teaching a false gospel and not “showing the Father” that Jesus showed us. We mustn’t sit in a place that “tells lies” on our Precious Lord Jesus Christ, seeding unbelief in people’s hearts against God’s truth.
“For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it!” (2 Corinthians 11:4)
Beloved, don’t put up with it!
