This is a word of encouragement from the Lord for someone. Someone is standing for their child’s healing and deliverance from Autism Spectrum Disorder, but the Lord says you are holding onto it like a vice grip—clinging so tightly to the situation that it’s weighing you down. You don’t need to do that.
You can let go.
You can cast your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). You are called to enter His rest. Faith is a place of rest, trust, and peace—not striving. God is pleased with you. You are His child, and you are in His Son, Jesus Christ. He loves you deeply.
The Word of God says, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble” (Matthew 6:34). Just walk in the grace of God for today. All is well. All will be well.
The Enemy’s Distractions
The enemy wants to pull your focus away from the truth of God’s Word. He may try to plant thoughts like:
- Your child is a picky eater. They can’t eat the right foods, so they’ll never get better.
- You don’t have enough money for the therapies others can afford.
- You’re missing something. You’re not doing enough.
None of that matters.
Praise God if some people have the budget for certain therapies. Praise God if some children can eat healthier foods. But there are children with Autism Spectrum Disorder who would literally starve themselves if their diet was suddenly changed.
You can trust the Lord. He is bigger than these circumstances. His power to heal is greater than finances, food, or anything in the natural. That doesn’t mean we stop praying for our children to desire healthy foods or for God to bless our finances. Of course, we pray! But it’s about casting every care onto Him.
None of us can make our children’s healing happen. Healing is not about striving—it is about trusting. His healing is His will because healing is part of His very nature. His name is Healer (Yahweh Rapha, Exodus 15:26).
The Finished Work of Christ
God wants you to take your hands off the burden and lay it at His feet. “Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved” (Psalm 55:22).
The Word of God is clear: “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him” (1 John 5:14-15).
Healing is included in the atonement (1 Peter 2:24). “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases” (Psalm 103:2-3).
All throughout Scripture, God connects forgiveness of sins with the healing of the body. Why? Because sickness came into the world through sin. Sin was the root cause, and when Jesus took away the sin of the world, He also took away its fruit—sickness. Just as we access eternal life by grace through faith, so do we access the healing Christ purchased for us by His blood and the stripes on His back.
You are in Christ. You died with Him, were buried with Him, and were raised to new life in Him (see Romans 6). Because you died, you have been freed from sin (Romans 6:7). There is no condemnation for you (Romans 8:1).
No Condemnation, Only His Love
Many have experienced trauma, emotional wounds, and even church hurt, so sometimes they confuse God’s wisdom and guidance as condemnation. But this word is not condemnation—it is the Father’s loving, gentle correction and redirection. “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1).
When God sees you, He sees His Son. You are completely hidden in Christ (see Colossians 3:3). He is pleased with you. He loves you. It is His will for your child to be made well—not by your efforts, but by His Word, His power, and His might.
Simple, Childlike Faith
The disciples once asked Jesus, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent” (John 6:28-29).
God is calling you to simple, childlike faith—a faith that rests in Him. Keep walking by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). Healing isn’t always progressive—it can happen suddenly, instantaneously. But if it’s not immediate, we continue to walk in faith, knowing that things are happening in the spirit realm that we cannot yet see.
Faith and patience inherit the promises (Hebrews 6:12). The Word of God is growing and working. Keep agreeing with the report of the Lord, not the report of the world. “Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” (Isaiah 53:1).
Rejoice in victory, knowing that God already gave His beloved Son—how will He not also freely give us all things? (Romans 8:32). You are forgiven. You are healed. You have been set free from all sin—past, present, and future.
Hallelujah!
