Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. — Colossians 3:2
How do you see sickness? Do you see it the way God sees it?
The only reason sickness exists in this world is because of the fall of man. If mankind had never sinned, there would be no sickness—no disease, no disorders, no suffering. The root cause of all sickness is sin’s entrance into the world. So if all sickness, including every disorder, is a result of sin (meaning the fall), shouldn’t we hate it as much as we hate sin itself?
Yet, some people mistakenly call sickness a blessing. But how can anything that entered the earth through sin—through rebellion against God—ever be considered good? If it will not exist in heaven, then it is not God’s will on earth. There will be no autism, cancer, heart disease, or any disorder in heaven. These things are not part of God’s kingdom; they are part of the corruption brought by sin. God does not nor will not allow any sickness, including ASD, in heaven because they are not good, not a blessing, not of Him, nor His will!
Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8), not to embrace them. He healed all who came to Him because sickness is an attack on those made in God’s image. God does not call sickness “good”—He calls healing good (Acts 10:38; Isaiah 61). So why should we ever accept or embrace what He sent His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, to destroy?
If we want unshakable faith for healing, we must see sickness the way God does—as an evil fruit of sin that Jesus Christ suffered and died to remove. Ask the Lord to help you see sickness/ASD through His eyes, to help you set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth, to hate what He hates and love what He loves.
Sickness is not a blessing—it is an enemy, a work of darkness, an evil attack AGAINST God’s precious image bearers. Let’s NOT allow the enemy to trick us into redefining anything contrary to God’s Word. Let’s stand with Christ, reject every lie that twists God’s truth, and believe for His healing power to flow from our bellies as the healing rivers of living water many children need!
