4. Anxiety and Depression

Be anxious for nothing.

PHILIPPIANS 4:6

Pour, Petition, and Praise

Father,
I bring my beloved, (child’s name), before You. O God, keep him/her from troubling anxiety and depression. Surround him/her with songs of deliverance [Psalm 32:7], driving out these afflictions. Your Word is powerful and cannot return to You void [Isaiah 55:11]. Isaiah 54:13 says, “All your children will be taught by the Lord and great will be their peace.” I thank You for teaching him/her so his/her peace is great.

Shine Your light on him/her for where Your light is darkness cannot stand [1 John 1:5]. My fervent prayers for my child are powerful and effective [James 5:16]. As my child’s earthly covering, I stand in the gap and put on the garment of praise on his/her behalf for the spirit of heaviness [Isaiah 61:3] to be driven far from him/her.
I praise You and thank You now for all You’ve done, all You are doing, and all You will do on behalf of my child. I praise Your Holy name! You are worthy to be praised and receive all blessing and honor and glory from my mouth. I stand on Your Word and name, Healer in Jesus’ name, amen.

Retake the Land

(Child’s name), you are anxious for nothing [Philippians 4:6], and I command anxiety and depression and any related afflicting spirits to go from you now. You walk in great peace because God is your Teacher. His light is ever shining on you so darkness cannot abide with you [1 John 1:5] in Jesus’ name, amen.
