The other day, I watched a video where the pastor mentioned that conditions like autism spectrum disorder and epilepsy may be caused by spirits of infirmity, in other words oppression and captivity of body and soul (mind, will, and emotions) by one or more demonic spirits.

Then I noticed a comment by a mother that said, “If anyone ever told me my son with autism has a demon, I’d be angry!”

This is tragic, more for her son than the mother, because the Word of God is clear that conditions that hold the mind captive, cause torment, or cause a person to do behaviors against their will (Mark 9) can absolutely be caused by demonic spirits. In this mother’s offense, she may be cooperating with the powers of darkness to keep her son in a bound state of arrested development instead of going to the elders of the church who take God for His Word for healing and deliverance.

In our journey as His beloved sons and daughters, we are called to approach the Word of God with open hearts and minds, allowing His truths to illuminate every aspect of our lives. However, there are moments when our personal beliefs and emotions can create a barrier to fully accepting and applying biblical teachings. This is particularly evident when it comes to understanding the origins of sickness and suffering (John 10:10).

The Bible clearly teaches that some illnesses are physical, while others are spiritual, often manifesting as spirits of infirmity or demonic oppression. Yet, many parents with children suffering from severe mental torment and arrested development vehemently reject the idea that their child could be affected by a demonic spirit. This reaction, often rooted in offense, can lead to a form of spiritual blindness or willful ignorance.

Scripture provides numerous examples of parents crying out for their children to be delivered from demons causing their sickness, demonstrating the reality of spiritual oppression. Acts 10:38 tells us that Jesus went about healing all who were oppressed by the devil, highlighting the spiritual dimension of many afflictions.

By rejecting these biblical truths, parents may inadvertently keep their children bound by the enemy’s oppression. It is crucial to let the Word of God alone be a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path, guiding us even through uncomfortable and challenging revelations. Embracing the possibility of a spiritual root to illness can open the door to deliverance and true healing, breaking the chains that hold our loved ones captive.

Offense toward the truth of God’s Word invites the powers of darkness to bring the following strongholds into parents hearts and minds…

  1. Spiritual Blindness: This term can describe the refusal to see or acknowledge spiritual truths presented in the Bible.
  2. Hardened Heart: Referring to a condition where one’s heart is resistant to receiving and accepting God’s word.
  3. Selective Understanding: Indicating that the person is choosing to accept only certain parts of scripture while ignoring others that may be equally important.
  4. Offended by Truth: Highlighting that their rejection of certain biblical teachings is rooted in offense rather than a genuine engagement with the scripture.
  5. Spiritual Denial: Denying the spiritual aspects of certain conditions despite clear biblical evidence.
  6. Resistance to God’s Word: Illustrating an unwillingness to fully embrace and apply all aspects of biblical teaching.

Pray these false religious teachings, doctrines, and strongholds in the church that blind God’s people to the suffering of children held captive in a state of arrested development by the enemy be burned up by the Lord’s consuming fire so that many captives be set free.

Healing is included in the atonement and it’s His heart and will to set captives free from every work of the devil. Lord, we thank You for setting her daughter’s free because You are love and good and it’s a finished work. God bless ❤

He Healed Them ALL

“Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner,” (John 5:19).

Jesus only did what He saw the Father do, so He healed every kind of sickness and every kind of disease, every kind of disability, even if they were born that way.
