Note: This post contains a public book review. It is cited here for educational purposes and shared anonymously to demonstrate how easily man’s philosophies and emotion can deceive Christians. This is not a personal attack, but an example of how reasoning that sounds compassionate can contradict the truth of God’s Word. Readers are encouraged to test every belief by the Word of God (Acts 17:11).

This is written out of love. For the people who are suffering and for the truth that sets them free. When I speak against “autism” or any disorder, I am not speaking against individuals who carry that diagnosis. I am speaking against the sickness itself, the bondage that steals, kills, and destroys. Jesus healed people because He loved them; He always separated the person from the affliction. That is the heart behind everything here.

As an autistic Christian I find your books very damaging. God created me in His image, who are you to say that I shouldn’t pray for you to be healed and become autistic. But I won’t. I believe God also made you in the way He wanted, but are you sure you’re doing right? I have a lovely family and fostered ten autistic children who all know they’re loved by God and by us. -unverified review, meaning they never read the book)

Beliefs like these are a sign of the times. Evidence that pulpits are preaching a watered down word and that most don’t know what the Bible actually teaches. Would you be fooled by these words? Not if you know THE Word!

“As an autistic Christian I find your books very damaging.”

From the last post, we understand for those in Christ, our identity is in Jesus Christ alone. However, when someone chooses to divide their identity by placing Autistic before Christian, it also causes a divided heart and double-mindedness.

To place one’s identity in something before Jesus Christ also leads to offense, hardness of heart, etc., and sometimes narcissist tendencies. Imagine one loving the identity in autism (the redefined version) so much that he or she is willing to attack their own sisters and brothers in Christ over it.

The cure for this type of offense is simple

“For in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’” (Acts 17:28).

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

“For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” (Colossians 3:3-4).

…identity in Christ alone, walking by the Word, not the world.

“God created me in His image.”

All people are created in the image of God but that image has been marred/corrupted because of the Fall and can come under attack through sickness, demonic spirits, chemicals and toxins that can harm the egg and sperm that will one day form a child who could be born sick by that damage.

God’s image is perfect, NOT marred, corrupted, sick, diseased, or disordered in any way. Therefore, a child’s body under attack with ASD is not a demonstration of God’s perfect image for He has no disorder (chaos) in Him. When sin entered the world, mankind ceased to reflect His image perfectly because sin is rebellion and a form of corruption and death (Romans 5:12).

But God!

When Jesus Christ defeated death and made the way for our redemption, He also made the way for those born into Him to have the spirit part of us restored to His perfect exact image, however the body and soul may need to be healed/delivered and renewed which the Cross also provided. Also, the Word itself renews our minds and heals our bodies.

“God created me in His image” does not apply to a sickness, disease, or disorder. That’s an out of context misapplication the enemy uses to get people who embrace sickness as identity offended.

Jesus never equated a person with the sickness that attacked them. He defined sickness as oppression of the devil and captivity and healed them (Acts 10:38; Luke 13; Isaiah 61). These are not my opinions. This is what the Word teaches. To say that sickness, disease, disorders, and deformities reflect the perfect image of God is deception.

“I have a lovely family and fostered ten autistic children who all know they’re loved by God and by us.”

Once again, a person who is able to function, live independently, and qualified to care for and raise foster children is trying to dictate the entire experience of the autism spectrum. Sadly, this person deduces that Jesus healing a child from a disorder means one doesn’t love the child nor make the child feel loved. Or said another way, one can only let a child with autism spectrum disorder know they are loved if they also embrace the sickness holding them captive. That’s a grave deception. It’s preposterous! We need only read God’s Word to see how Jesus Himself expressed the Father’s love when He encountered the sick.

Jesus healed BECAUSE He is Love. Jesus showed people that the Father loved them by healing them and setting them free.

To desire a child’s healing from ASD is to view the child himself or herself as highly valuable and the disorder itself as an affliction holding them in a state of arrested development. It is to line one’s heart up with the Father’s as Jesus did.

Therefore to refuse to heal and be offended by healing autism is what the Word refers to as calling what is good, evil, and what is evil good (Isaiah 5:20).

Jesus called healing good and refusing or opposing healing or leaving a person unhealed as hardness of heart and evil (Acts 10:38; Mark 3:1-6). Whose words will you follow? The Lord’s or those who try to shame you and accuse you of hatred for doing and believing what Jesus taught.

“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you,” (John 15:18-19).

Jesus would be hated just as much today as He was during His earthly ministry because oops, He healed those who were born with birth defects in perfect obedience to His Father (See John 9 – the man born blind from birth healed; Then in Acts 3 and Acts 14, two different men both born lame and crippled from their mother’s womb healed by the apostles in Jesus Christ’s Name because that’s what the Word teaches). But wait, weren’t those three men already fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God just the way they were? The man born blind. The two men born lame and crippled. No, His image in them was under enemy attack, so that’s why Jesus and the apostles healed them to RESTORE the health the enemy had stolen from them so their health COULD line up with His Holy Word and image! To be offended by healing birth defects is to be offended by what Jesus taught!

The same people who’ve falsely accused me of hatred would have attacked Jesus for healing those with disabilities, special needs, and birth defects. It’s so easy for Satan to get people offended and lead by feelings when they don’t know the truth of God’s Holy Word or when they submit their hearts to “Christian” denominations who teach the traditions of man and not the true Word.

Sadly, many churches falsely teach that God “decrees” all sickness and even sin/all evil. These deceptions make those who follow these false fatalistic doctrines passive, embracing every attack of the enemy as from God, just as Satan had plotted and schemed.

Read the Word. Don’t allow the wisdom of the world to sway you from God’s Truth. The enemy aggressively works through “Christians” in this time of great deception seeking to get you into doubt then outright unbelief – the rejection of God’s Word for yourself that you embrace the evil one’s captivity over Christ’s freedom.

Don’t fall for it! Armor up with the Word and quench every fiery dart of the evil one with His Holy Truth. Amen!

Please pray for that person who left the review of my book, even though they never read it. They are being used by Satan to keep people/innocent children bound.

He Healed Them ALL

“Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner,” (John 5:19).

Jesus only did what He saw the Father do, so He healed every kind of sickness and every kind of disease, every kind of disability, even if they were born that way.
