Read Mark 6:53-56

Many Touch Him and Are Made Well

53 When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret and anchored there. 54 And when they came out of the boat, immediately the people recognized Him, 55 ran through that whole surrounding region, and began to carry about on beds those who were sick to wherever they heard He was. 56 Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well.

In this passage we see something powerful: “as many as touched the hem of His garment were made well.” That’s it. No qualifications. No trying to remember all your sins so you can confess them. As many as touched Him, were healed. Period!

This is a picture of healing God’s way: by grace through faith. It cannot be earned. It cannot be bought. It is not based on performance, spiritual maturity, religious effort or somehow deserving it. The people simply believed that healing was found in Jesus, and they acted on that belief. They knew that if they could just touch Him, power would flow out of Him. And it did.

Healing is received the same way eternal life is received: a free gift, by grace through faith. Because our Father is good and loves us so much.

“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give,” (Matthew 10:8).

Jesus healed freely. He never made anyone pay for it . He is the One who paid for it, with His own blood, His own stripes, His own finished work at the cross.

He carried our sicknesses.

He bore our pains.

He took away all our sins, guilt, and penalties.

And by His stripes we were healed.

So receive healing for your children right now by grace through faith.

Say yes to Jesus.

Thank You, Jesus, for carrying my child’s sicknesses, for bearing my child’s pains, and that by Your stripes my child was healed. We command his/her healing now from head to toe, body and soul in Jesus’ name. Thank You for it, Lord. Amen and amen!
