Me with my magnifying glass trying to find where Jesus tells anyone He “needs” them to be sick/riddled with disabling, tormenting symptoms/oppressed by the devil so He can accomplish His will and purposes.
No! Jesus healed them all! (Matt. 12:15; Acts 10:38)
Read Isaiah 61:1-3 and see what actually GLORIFIES the Lord. It’s VERY clear that it’s NOT captivity in any form…
Isaiah 61:1-3
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
Captivity of any kind – like the form of sickness, disease, disorders, spirit of infirmity, etc. – doesn’t glorify the Lord for all sickness is defined by Him as being captive by satan.
And Jesus has no accord/agreement with satan!
But praise God when the prison doors of ASD are opened and children are loosed and set free from its bonds, its suffocating, hindering grave clothes, THEN the Lord is glorified. Hallelujah!
There are no scriptures that teach us to normalize and accept sickness, disorders, etc. nor define them as the world does. Nor take them on as one’s identity above their identity in Christ. Glory to God!
Matthew 10:8 says, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”
May we obey God and NOT man, and rebuke pharisaical demonic spirits, the ones that hate seeing people set free and made well.
This video is from several years ago, but every time I’ve watched it, it grieves me to my soul. Not God’s will for him…
