Why is “Belief” Essential? | Brother Carrin

I was so blessed to hear that brother Carrin, now in his 90’s, – WOW! – is still ministering with and for the Lord.

When I used to live in south Florida years ago, I visited a few services he lead, and when I went to him for prayer, I felt the heaviest, thickest glory cloud of the Lord around anyone, and anyone since then.

It’s NOT about the person and looking to the person, of course, but the heart of a surrendered person, though imperfect in oneself, is a beautiful thing to witness. God bless him abundantly. We look to and up to Christ alone but praise God for those who POINT us to Him, His Word, and Spirit.

Excerpt from his video…

“Jesus Christ gave authority to the church. A few individuals along the way have been able to press through the barriers of unbelief and take hold upon what Jesus taught. seize it. Cling to it.

1 Thessalonians 2:13-14, “For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe. For you, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus. For you also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, just as they did from the Judeans.”

You know what? God Almighty still expects the church to believe. To take the authority of this Word…proclaim it. We are not responsible for the results. We are responsible only in faith to proclaim it. To obey it. To preach it. In the power and demonstration of the Holy Spirit.

I appeal to you as believers or as pastors. Get the Word inside of you. Let it come out of you in power.”

In tears by the end of his video. So precious to my heart. Brother Carrin, you are singing the song the Lord put into my heart with these blessed words from the Spirit.
