“For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light,” (2 Corinthians 11:14).
The Word says we can choose life (of God) or death (of the devil).
The devil presents us with imitations, sometimes filled with half truths (still lies) for the sole purchase of ensnaring us and putting us in his chains to keep us from the one and only real life with Jesus with our one and only TRUE identity in Christ,
Imitations
Drugs, additions
Fornication, perversions
Getting someone to take on sickness as an identity
Lying, cheating, stealing
Gossiping, slandering
Any identity other than one in Christ in an imitation, a trap to keep us bound in chains. Even God’s children can fall for the enemy’s imitations by not living by our call to be in this world but not of this world.
Be set free and choose Jesus – the ONLY real life, your one true identity, your Peace, your Joy, your Rock, your Comfort, you all in all. Nothing else will fill the voids and the hearts of man. Partake of the Living Water, the Bread of Life, with whom you will never hunger and thirst again.
If you’ve never chosen Jesus to choose life, here’s how…
So, how do you have total assurance of eternal security with God? It’s a simple choice and act of humbling yourself and choosing Jesus by faith alone.
Admit you’re a sinner
Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Ephesians 2:8-9 – For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith —and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
Believe in your heart
Romans 10:9-10 – That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
Call upon the name of the Lord
Romans 10:13 – For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
The Lord is says, “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2).
I pray if you haven’t called upon the name of the Lord that you don’t wait another second.
Said as a prayer
God, I’ve sinned against You, but I choose to turn from my sin now. By faith, I confess ‘Jesus is Lord’, believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. I call upon the name of the Lord, and I am now saved and fully justified by God. My oil lamp is now forever full, and I will not have to lament the day my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ comes in Jesus’ name, amen.
