Autism Healing and Deliverance

God’s people perish for lack of knowledge, and in this case, lack of knowledge of the very real spirit realm which affects our lives and health. I strongly believe because of the Word of God, not my opinions, that autism spectrum disorder is BOTH a physical and spiritual infirmity. Meaning, yes, demons are behind many of its symptoms.

We read from Mark 9:21-29

“And Jesus asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood. ²² It has often thrown him both into the fire and into the water to kill him. But if You can do anything, take pity on us and help us!”

²³ But Jesus said to him, “‘If You can?’ All things are possible for the one who believes.” ²⁴ Immediately the boy’s father cried out and said, “I do believe; help my unbelief!” 

²⁵ When Jesus saw that a crowd was rapidly gathering, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and do not enter him again!” 

²⁶ And after crying out and throwing him into terrible convulsions, it came out; and the boy became so much like a corpse that most of them said, “He is dead!” ²⁷ But Jesus took him by the hand and raised him, and he got up. 

²⁸ When He came into the house, His disciples began asking Him privately, “Why is it that we could not cast it out?” ²⁹ And He said to them, “This kind cannot come out by anything except prayer,” (Mark 9:21-29).

Not only here but many healings by Jesus involved casting out unclean spirits and spirits of infirmity for the child or person to be made well.

The devil would have us believe him and his dark kingdom are not real, so they live comfortably in the dwelling places of people afflicting and tormenting them with non-verbal autism, OCD, etc. etc. etc.

This is why the Lord reminds us in Proverbs 3:7, “Do not be wise in your own eyes.” For if one is, he or she may be too prideful to say out loud or even consider that his or her child may be afflicted as the child above was.

This leaves him/her unwilling and able to pray correctly or ask for deliverance prayers for his/her child. “Modern” churches have done an evil disservice to its people by not teaching these truths, leaving them and their children captive to the enemy in ignorance.

God is not a man that He should lie, and He plainly states for us to be armed with His Word and use it correctly:

“When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, ¹⁷ that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses,” (Matthew 8:16-17).
